A better diagnostic tool is Matt's TraceRoute (http://winmtr.net/download-winmtr/) that will continuously diagnose and log your performance to an endpoint.

The problem is that the hosting network (HWCDN.net) has admitted to serious data center issues. It's on their website. So while some people have great pathways leading to the file, some of us don't, and get horrid download rates due to packet loss...

Same. Download in the launcher is now going on two hours. At 51.2%. Slowly crawling, but it would be nice to have a set of mirrors, or for CCP to develop and seed torrents of the latest patch.
